1. Introduction

I am committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store and safeguard your information when you visit weconnect.asia or get in touch with me.

WeConnect Asia is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I work with clients in Europe, Asia and elsewhere, so I align my data practices with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), whatever your location.

2. Who is responsible for your data

3. What data I collect

I collect only what is needed to run this website and answer your enquiries. I do not profile visitors, mine data or sell personal data.

3.1 Data you provide

When you use the contact form or email me, I may receive:

• your name and email address
• your organisation (optional)
• the type of project you are interested in
• any information you choose to include in your message

Fields marked as required are needed for me to reply.

3.2 Data collected automatically

Like any website, the server records technical data when you browse: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, the page you came from, and the pages and times of your visit. This data is held in standard server logs. I do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools on this website.

4. Why I use your data and on what legal basis

• Replying to your enquiry (name, email, message): legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6.1.f.
• Security and technical operation of the website (server logs): legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f.
• Contacting you after you gave your consent (for example when you tick the consent box of the contact form): consent, Art. 6.1.a.
• Complying with a legal obligation, if one applies: Art. 6.1.c.

I do not use your data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

5. How long I keep your data

• Contact form messages and email correspondence: up to 3 years after our last exchange, unless an ongoing business relationship requires longer.
• Server logs and technical data: up to 12 months.

After that, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

6. Who I share your data with

I do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data may be handled by a limited number of providers that make this website and our exchanges possible:

• Hostinger International Ltd., my website hosting provider, which stores and delivers the website and its data.
• My email provider, which receives the messages you send me through the contact form or by email.
• Cal.com, if you choose to book a call through the booking link. Booking details are then processed under Cal.com’s own privacy policy.

When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. I may also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect my legal rights.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15)
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
• have your data erased (Art. 17)

• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
• withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7.3)

To exercise any of these rights, write to rgpd@weconnect.asia. I reply within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests, in which case I will tell you.

You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country of residence. In France, this is the CNIL (cnil.fr). The list of EU authorities is available from the European Data Protection Board.

If you are outside the EU, I extend the same rights to you as far as practical.

9. Data security

• Data exchanged between your browser and this website is encrypted with HTTPS.
• I am the only person with access to the messages sent through the website.
• My hosting provider maintains industry-standard security measures.
• I collect only the data I need.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

10. Children

This website is not directed at anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent me personal data, contact me and I will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy to reflect changes in my practices or in the law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update.
