Biogas, Biomass and Biofuels
From biogas, biomass or biofuel feedstock to a financeable project
I help developers of biogas, biomethane, bioLNG, biomass and biofuel projects build the stakeholder alignment that turns a good resource and a working technology into a project a lender will look at.
Sector overview
Bioenergy covers a wide range of projects: biogas from agricultural, food or industrial waste, biomethane and bioLNG, solid biomass and biomass derivatives, and liquid biofuels such as biodiesel and renewable diesel. Southeast Asia has abundant residues, such as rice husk and straw, sugarcane bagasse, coconut shells, wood waste, livestock manure and municipal waste, and a growing demand for cleaner fuels and power.
These projects often stall for the same reasons: uncertain feedstock supply, buyers who will not commit without a track record, and lenders who need both before they engage.
How I help in biogas, biomass and biofuels
I do not do engineering. I focus on what makes a bioenergy project bankable: a secure and documented feedstock supply, credible offtake for gas, power or fuel, and the right equity investors, lenders and development finance institutions (see Investor Introductions and Project Finance). I identify what is missing, open the conversations that matter and help you present the project in the terms investors and lenders expect. Projects built on municipal or industrial waste are covered on the Waste-to-Energy & Circular page.
